Hopefully, despite covid, everyone had a happy and healthy holiday season with friends and family. Another year has passed, we have lost some brothers and have not raised any new brothers. This year was difficult but we did manage to make it through EA and FC degrees on a young man, though he shipped off to boot camp before his MM degree. We hope to raise him in the upcoming months. I keep looking for new faces at our meetings but tend to see the same brothers every month. Please, I implore you to come to at least one meeting this year if you're able to. All of our 2020 fundraisers were cancelled but we'd love to see you attend this year if we're allowed to have them. I will continue sending a group email reminder for events and work. If you are not receiving the messages and would like to, send me an email at rclodge585@outlook.com and I'll make sure to add you to the list.
If you haven't already done so, please pay dues ASAP. If you are unable to pay, please call me at (574)709-0066 or email me at rclodge585@outlook.com and I'm happy to work with you. Remember 50 year and life members do not owe dues, but donations to the Lodge are always appreciated. Thanks to your donations we were able to support summer reading programs, school meal programs, an essay contest, youth baseball, buy Christmas gifts for children less fortunate, and donate to the community.
Scholarship awards are open to qualifying Master Masons or children, stepchildren and orphans of Master Masons in good standing in an Indiana Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons. Applicants must be accepted into an accredited Indiana university or college. Scholarship applications are now submitted online at https://indianafreemasons.com/charity/scholarships/ and are available mid-January through mid-March. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me and I'll help you through the process. I hope to see you at Lodge functions this year. As always, if there's anything I can do to help get you there, let me know.
Fraternally,
Matt Kitchell, Secretary
